We Pursue Pastdue Child Support in Difficult Situations
The United States General Accounting Office issued a report to
Congress in March of 2002 based on their investigation into private
child support enforcement agencies. In that report they state
that private enforcement agencies are handling some of the most
difficult cases to pursue.
At CSRS, our typical cases are the most difficult to pursue.
In over half of our cases:
- The absent parent no longer resides in the state in which
the order originated.
- The absent parent has made no payments in two years .
- The average arrearage is $12,500.00 dollars.
- The custodial parent has tried to enforce the order of support
utilizing a private attorney and the help of their state child
support enforcement office.
Our typical client:
- Has exhausted his or her resources on a private attorney.
- Has seen little or no meaningful action from their state enforcement
agency in the last two years
- Is without any location information about the absent parent
- Is tired of fighting this battle alone.
Most clients say to us,
- "You will never collect anything from this absent parent"
- "You will never find the absent parent"
- "This parent would rather go to jail than pay"
- "This is a lost cause, this parent is a deadbeat"
Yet we are successful in 7 out of every 10 cases! As you can
see, we expect the case to be difficult or you would be getting
your money without our assistance.
