We Helped Lisa Collect Child Support

Lisa Bontrager first came to Child Support Recovery Service in 1996 for assistance, extremely frustrated by her ex-husband's neglect of his child support responsibilities. CSRS worked closely with her to come to an arrangment. Since then the child support she has received has changed the quality of her and her son's life. She writes:

Words cannot express the gratitude that my son and I have for Child Support Recovery Service. When we first contacted them, my former husband was approximately $28,000 in arrears with no indication of paying in the future.

I had struggled for many years to provide for us, at one point I had one full-time job and three part-time jobs.

After hearing about CSRS through a commercial, I contacted them and within one year I started receiving $190 every two weeks. whenever I hear someone talking about past due support, I immediately suggest CSRS. One of the common statements they respond with is that the service takes a percentage of the support. To that my reply is

(2) It has saved me because I did not have to take time from work

The best example that I can give is the difference in our lives. I no longer live in a rented mobile home, or drive a "buy-here, pay here" car. My bills are all current and I don't dread picking up the telephone or wonder if my car will start. We have car, medical, home and life insurance.

One of the main reasons is that instead of working part-time jobs, I was able to go back to school and receive a bachelor's degree. I am now working on my master's degree and have a career instead of a minimum wage job.

My son has since grown up and is attending college. He has a good job and a bright future. Most of all, we are happy - and that is something you cannot put a price tag on.
