The Georgia Legislature passed a law that became effective July 1, 2009 (O. C. G. A. § 10-1-393.9) that severely limits the abilities of a private child support enforcement agency to work effectively for the citizens of Georgia if they have a current child support order in place.
THE STATE OF GEORGIA TOOK AWAY THE RIGHTS OF ITS CITIZENS TO USE OTHER OPTIONS IN ORDER TO ENFORCE A CHILD SUPPORT ORDER EFFECTIVELY BASED ON THEIR POLICY.
39% of Georgia families do not receive their current child support.
Only 8% of a total of 2,111,869,574.001 of arrearages owed in Georgia was collected by the GA OCSE.
THE NUMBERS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!
If you believe this is wrong and citizens' rights and opportunities should not be affected, write your state Senator or local Representative and request they review their policies.
