New York Child Support Information
If your order is from the state of New York WE CANNOT HELP YOU.
We regret to inform you that we are unable to work your case. The state of New York will not honor any requests coming from a Private Child Support Enforcement Agency. The local agencies will do nothing to assist us and will insist that you close your case in their office, meaning they will no longer monitor the Non-custodial Parent. This means that tax intercepts would no longer be a means of collection for your case.
THE STATE OF NEW YORK IS TAKING THE RIGHTS OF ITS CITIZENS TO USE OTHER OPTIONS IN ORDER TO ENFORCE A CHILD SUPPORT ORDER EFFECTIVELY BASED ON THEIR POLICY.
34% of New York families do not receive their current child support. 7% of a total of $6,550,551,832.001 of arrearages owed in New York was collected by the NY CSE.
THE NUMBERS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!
If you believe this is wrong and citizens' rights and opportunities should not be affected, write your state Senator or local Representative and request they review their policies.
NEW YORK CITY - The city of New York has decided to eliminate the use of private agencies as another option for enforcement all together. According to NYC Local Law 70, the commission a private agency may charge is not to exceed 15%. By capping the fee at 15% a private agency would not be able to effectively work a case from the city.
